About PTE
PTE, which stands for Pearson Test of English, is an English language proficiency test designed to assess the speaking, writing, listening, and reading abilities of non-native English speakers. The PTE exam is computer-based and uses advanced technology to evaluate the test taker’s skills. The test consists of various tasks and question types, including multiple-choice questions, essay writing, summarizing spoken text, listening to recordings, and more.
The entire test is conducted in a single sitting and usually takes around three hours to complete. The test is scored on a scale of 10-90, with 10 being the lowest and 90 being the highest proficiency level. The scores are valid for up to two years and can be used for university admissions, visa applications, and employment purposes.
